Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this stunning piece of history. History: Production of Heisey puff box appears about 1897 until 1930 when nearly all but a few had been discontinued. Limited puff box were introduced after 1930 then production ends by 1948. Not all Heisey puff box had glass covers as the early ones were sold to other companies who would choose to add their covered lids made out of metal, ivory, or wood. From the simple designs to elaborate sterling silver repousse. This design was known as the Zipper pattern. About 1897-1910. Made only in crystal. Some puff boxes were marked with the “H” others unmarked (or paper labels) and covers are very hard to find. It’s in very good condition. Thick heavy clear crystal glass, hand blown. Only noticed 2 small defective chips on zipper bumps. Very hard to see with this pattern. Lid is very thin and fragile. A few cuts on metal edge and pin holes in top. See photos. Total weight 11 oz.
