Description: Animal Drawings: A Series of Thirteen Plates by Caroline Hunt Rimmer 1895 1st Ed Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in VERY GOOD condition for the plates and ACCEPTABLE for the description pages. The spine is unbound. There seems to be a title page oversheet that may or may not have been the actual cover and it has some damage; mostly tears, nicks and small pieces missing. It is beginning to crumble. If there was a front and back cover, it is NOT with this book. No marks or highlighting in text except for writing in black ink on the bottom left of every page stating if it is the descriptor page or the plate page. Pages are crisp, mostly clean and mostly unmarked. Cover lies flat. One-color illustrations. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This book is an an ex-library book from back in the day when people didn't mess with other people's things. Each page has a light library stamp and the black ink in the lower left corner stating plate and page. That is all. No library card envelop is in the back of the book, probably because there is no back cover paper. This book is old, and is disintegrating on some of the pages. The plate pages are in VERY GOOD condition, because they are on a thicker, card-like, stock, but are still not perfect with nicks, notches and a few small tears (but no crumbles). The information is there and still usable for the person learning perspective and composition. Also, we only found a couple of these books on the internet. Right now, somebody is sell this book in pieces, per plate at more than twice what we are asking. Those pages show library stamps too. We think we are fairly priced and hope you think so too. Please see pictures. We will try to photograph as much as possible so you will have a good indication of the the whole book. Please feel free to ask for extra pictures and please, look closely look at the pictures. Be sure what you are purchasing. These plates would make beautiful framed art prints and could decorate a home from the children's bedrooms to the living room. A wonderful piece of Art history. Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books. Safe shipping may move them into the next postal category. Sorry! Please NOTE: We live in Michigan and it is winter. We have the Lake Effect almost every day – massive cloud cover. We are doing the best we can with interior lighting for the pictures. Also, please NOTE: Almost every book has a smudge somewhere. We mention it if we see it, but please assume we missed something. PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not in this book. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry! Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. We hope you have fun and stay with us. Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items. Free local pick up. We refund your shipping charges! Please help us recycle these lovingly cared for curios in an environmentally friendly manner. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
