Description: Andreas Paul Weber Signed Lithograph Fool and Fox Matted and Framed Andreas Paul Weber Signed Lithograph Fool and Fox Matted and Framed Click images to enlarge Description A Paul Weber, lithograph of a fool holding a fox while lying against a tree, signed by the artist in pencil beneath the lower right of the image, stamped by the Clan Press beneath the lower left of the image, matted and framed, in excellent condition (the litho has not been examined outside the frame). The image of the lithograph is about 14 by 20 inches and the frame is about 23 by 29 inches. (The Clan Press was founded by Weber in 1925 and its stamp is found on his signed prints.) Weber created several lithographs of the fox and fool, metaphorically showing the advantages the sly animal took of the clueless fool. Andreas Paul Weber (1891-1980) attended for a short period of time the Kunstgewerbeschule Erfurt. He was a member of the Romanticist youth movement Jung-Wandervogel. During many hikes with the group he received a lot of inspiration for the nature depictions in his works and he started creating his first autodidactic lithographs. In 1973, the A.
