Description: ANCIENT CHINESE WARRING STATES PERIOD STYLE BRONZE BAINZHONG CHIME BELLS You are being offered a model of an Ancient Chinese Musical Instrument called a “Bainzhong” consisting of a Set of Five Small Bronze Chime Bells suspended together diagonally on wires from a Wooden Beam supported by Two Bronze Male Figures, with Upraised Arms and Wearing Swords, mounted on a Wood Pedestal, and they come with a small Bronze and Wood Mallet called a “Beating Stick”. This is a miniaturized model of the 3 Tier, 64 Chime Bells Bainzhong that was unearthed in 1978 from a Warring States Period (475-221BC) Tomb in Suizhou, in what is today’s Hubei Province. This miniature Bainzhong doesn’t have any markings that identify who made it or when it was made; but we believe it was made during the 1980’s or 1990’s. The Bainzhong stands 6½ inches high and it measures 16 inches long; and the Pedestal adds an additional 1½ inches to its overall height of 8 inches, and the Pedestal is 16 inches long and 3 inches wide. The Bainzhong is also in Very Good to Excellent Condition, without any issues whatsoever; however, when shipped, the Bells may need to be repositioned or reattached.
