The darkroom of this UVP imager also features a UV-blocking gel viewer window set in the door, allowing for quick visualization of samples without needing to open during a capture. Additionally, there are side access doors on both sides for quick adjustments or gel cutting and a full-length door in the front for easy loading and unloading of gels. Images captured by the digital camera on the UVP Biodoc It Imaging System are reproducible, and consistent and are sent to the intuitive VisionWorks Touch software, fully contained within the system. No external computer is required to operate this system and software. This robust analysis software allows users to easily select their capture and optics settings, gives access to enhancement tools like process filters and background correction. These imager’s capabilities also include 1D lane analysis, protein quantifications, colony counting, GFP expression, and more. Users can set up macros for frequently used settings to save time. After results are generated, they can be exported to an excel spreadsheet.
