He is a person with polite manners, modest, simple, and has strong faith. He is currently 79-58 years old. He was ordained as a monk and a novice at the age of 15 at Wat That Prathap and was ordained as a Mahanikaya in 1966 at Wat Burapha Phiram, Roi Et Province, with Phra Siriwuttimethi (the abbot of Wat Roi Et at that time). Luang Pu Maha Sila studied the Dhamma and Vinaya with determination until he passed the examination to become an Upachaya monk. And preached 6 sermons. He had an audience with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1972 at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram and was appointed as a monk and novice at Wat Nikhom Khanaram School, Roi Et Province. He was ordained as a monk who chanted the Patimokkha at the Sangha's sermon hall all along. After developing his Dhamma and discipline, Luang Pu Phra Maha Sila traveled to practice Dhamma in many provinces, such as Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Chaiyaphum, and studied nature on the mountain in Sangkhom District, Nong Khai Province, until Khao Kwai, Lao PDR. In 1974, he traveled with Luang Pho Ban Chat, Wat Ban Chat, Roi Et Province. (who passed away) met many teachers such as Luang Pu Thongma Thawanro, Luang Pu Maha Bunmee Sirindhorn, Luang Pu Lee Kusantharo, and was ordained as a monk and novice such as Luang Pho Saman Thammarakkito, Luang Pu Nu Inthawanno, Luang Pu Somsit Rakkisilo, Luang Pu Lom Silsangvaro. Luang Pu Phra Maha Sila studied Dhamma, meditation, Vipassana meditation, studied Lao script, read books from Isan palm leaves skillfully, and studied many palm leaf manuscripts of Somdej Lun of Lao PDR until he was skilled. Since 2550 onwards, Luang Pu Phra Maha Sila has traveled to reside in many places, whether it be in many abandoned cemeteries or even the highly respected abbot of Wat Pho Si Sa-at who invited him to reside at the temple during the end of the Buddhist Lent. Luang Pu intended to leave his body at the Ban Kae Pae forest park, so he built a temple for him to reside in throughout the Buddhist Lent. The abbot of Wat Suthat Thepwararam has faith in Luang Pu, so he invited him to join the ceremony to worship Phra Kring at Wat Suthat and many other temples in the Northeast. He would travel to pay respect to Luang Pu and join the event almost every time because his disciples had witnessed with their own eyes the knowledge, practice of Dhamma, kindness, solitude, and clear vision of the Buddha, which allowed him to miraculously predict future events.
