The cover is in rough shape- the front cover is badly scuffed and the spine cover has a few small holes and is missing a chunk on the bottom. It's discoloring around the edges and there's a bit of foxxing inside the front and back covers. Lastly, the hinge is sprung but not broken and just on the front cover. Once you get past the covers this volume is in pretty good shape. The pages are clean and surprisingly crisp, and the hinge is nice and tight (beyond the front cover). The spine has very little play in it, and the edges are dirty but straight and smooth (the publisher used a rough cut on the outside edge so it looks odd, but if you run a finger over it it's a smooth as the top and bottom.
