Each grip begins life as an injection molded high strength polymer blank made from a carefully engineered mold designed to fit the 1911 exactly, for an OEM fit and finish. It is then custom printed using a unique, proprietary process for full color, full wrap coverage around the grip. Our unique process is kind of like a tattoo, the ink is infused into the polymer itself. This results in an incredibly durable design that will not wear off and is extremely difficult to scratch through (in fact you'd have to scratch through 2 mm of material to scratch all the way through the image).
