American Flyer Varney & Sirus Presidents Special w/The Commander 4689 5pc Set🎁

Description: This American Flyer passenger car set includes five cars, each measuring 19 inches in length and 5 inches in height. The cars are in two-tone blue color and are replicas of Pullman cars. They are made of pressed steel, brass, cardboard, tin, plastic, and steel materials, with a scale of 1/29. Pieces in set include: The Commander 4689 Details to note: 14 new Brass Stanchions installed 12:16:24 from The Train Tender. Please see new “4th photo” showing new Stanchions While the loco is very heavy (assuming engine dummy mechanism is inside), there are no contacts or connections to drive loco or power the wheels and am told by knowing collectors this particular unit was designed that way. Please review photos - there are nice close ups of the underside of each piece. There are also lights on the top front and back of the cab, one is red plastic and the other side is an actual clear light bulb - but no wiring or contacts to the wheels or track to draw power. This is a beautiful replica per the nameplate on the bottom and an amazingly pretty shelf queen set right now. Given missing working engine & wiring a $350-400 + investment + time (so I've been told by knowing collectors providing me the list of items to potentially repair and work involved) of available AF motors or other brands will bring this loco alive. Passenger cars all appear to have lighting and tab beneath wheels to draw current from middle rail, however they are not tested. The West Point baggage car has a broken/missing switch lever. Regardless, the cosmetic condition, these pieces are stunningly gorgeous without a scrape, nick or fading - the paint and color is vibrant and shiny. The photos shown are natural very good light - no enhancements or photo editing. Depending on the amount of light the pieces change from a greenish to blueish hue.
