Description: New Old Stock NOS Powered 4-Wheel Truck with Knuckle Coupler: The auction includes a truck assembly made by Lionel/MPC in 1980-83 and represented their second attempt to build a better rolling stock/freight truck assembly. The inside of the cast frames are hollowed out. The frames also included a top stud to help anchor to the sheet metal base. What I liked about these is that they retained the same KC tab which, with right tool, can be opened and the KC replaced if broken.The wheel sets have steel pick up wheels and typically were used on the many cabooses that were issued then. However, I know a number of S guys who have used them for AC Gilbert cars that also use a similar diameter eyelet to mount AF d/c and Pike Master trucks. Please review the photos carefully.
