Description: This is an intriguing spoon with extensive bright cut work. The top has a chain of dashes and scallops ending with three leaves. This encompasses the square period monogram JHT with later inscribed presentation date 1840. Further along are two stylized flowers surrounded by S looped dashes. The remainder of handle has more decoration ending with feather edges. Handle rounded downturned fiddle with elaborate drop to the bowl. The hallmark is TDG over JLG in an indented cartouche.
