Description: CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. Porcelain tea cup and saucer produced in The United States by Ceramic Arts Belleek,(later to become Lenox) between 1886 and 1897. The two pieces are marked with purple wreath mark and CAC. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is delicate and translucent. It has a soft, ivory hue. The two pieces are molded with graceful contours. They are hand painted with swags of tiny lavender roses. There is intricate, raised gilding of great delicacy. There is even decoration inside the cup. This set is reminiscent of cups and saucers produced by Crown Derby in the 19th century. It is a set of rare and unusual elegance made in the USA. #E629 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
