American Artist Frank Benson Pencil Signed Etching "Mallards No. 2"

Description: This classic Benson sporting image was etched in 1918 in an edition of 150 (Paff #138). It is signed in graphite lower left: "Frank W. Benson". Platemark measures: 8 3/4" x 10 3/4". Printed on an 11 1/4" x 14 1/4" sheet. Frank Weston Benson (1862-1951), a Massachusetts artist, painted portraits, landscapes and wildfowl. He taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) and was a founding member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Guild of Boston Artists. Condition: Lightly toned at mat window, there is a 3" indentation line at the upper right corner (looks like framing glass might have broken at some point), otherwise good condition.
