Description: American Art Clay Company is a long term manufacturer in the field of clay products and potters supplies. It was established in 1919 in Indiananpolis and remains in business. Early in the 30's the company produced an unknown supply of decorative pottery including miniatures intended to showcase their glazes and other pottery products. Today to company concentrates more of the supply side of ceramics rather than art pottery production. Hence pieces such as this vase are seldom seen, It is 4-1/2" tall and about 5" at widest. It is a glossy and semi-lustrous deep red in post-production mint condition. There are some production irregularities, but of little distraction. The base mark is imprinted lightly within a rectangle. It's a little hard to read, but clear when you see it. There is a deeply incised "26" and a light incision which may be an artists signature. Scarce, early piece. Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping.
