Description: This is an Heirloom variety of Amaryllis lily. They are generally hardier than modern hybrids. They are also much rarer. They Bloom and Bloom and also reproduce like crazy. The Heirloom lilies come from older gardens. You can't buy them in stores. They are passed down through generations. Each bulb will produce 2-3 stems and 3-4 flowers per stem Grows to an average of 20 inches in height Flowering time is 6-8 weeks DESCRIPTION OF ITEM FOR BID: You are bidding on ONE 3 year old blooming size bulb. Buy as many as you like but THIS IS FOR ONE. These are pictures of MY plants, so you know exactly what they look like when they bloom and what you will receive. You will receive A Three year old bulbs. Although these bulbs are medium in size, don't be fooled. Once established they bloom like crazy and they grow fast. I also am generous to my buyers, there is always something extra (: These bulbs are my Heirlooms Bulbs. My Heirlooms BLOOM and reproduce more bulbs FOREVER as opposed to hybrids (like the ones you buy in Wal-Mart. Lowes or Home Depot) that often die after one season. You can dig these up, separate them and plant the others in other spots. Fill in around a tree with them or make an entire bed of them to bloom in mass. I do both. You can't do that with the Hybrids. One of my customers told me that he forced his at Christmas time and then got blooms again in the spring, so now I know that is possible. I don't do that because I leave mine in the ground all year round because I am in Fl. Bulbs will be freshly dug, and will arrive bare root with foliage cut short. This ensures that all the energy will stay in the bulb for the transplant not going to the leaves which will die off anyway.
