It is the only one I have made from aluminum and I think it came out fantastic! Definitely has a slightly different tone to wood, but not lesser in any way. The aluminum is warm and responsive. This flute has a feature that I have started using on some of my low whistles where the wall thickness of the body is thicker on the lower notes and thinner on the higher notes which gives some balance to the volume of the notes relative to each other in the same octaves. This flute also features my curved wedge design for making the intonation of octaves spot on. Wedge is also able to be pulled in and out to give some flexibility in how different people blow the flute so you can dial in the perfect intonation for your own style of play, however for most players having it all the way in will work best. This flute is really a stunning work of playable art, from the instructs turning designs to the Celtic inowtork engraved on the lower end. It is a truly unique and one of a kind instrument.
