Description: These are Custom made reproduction M Code plates for your bus. These are great for replacing your missing plate or creating a new plate that matches the options on your bus. These are not an exact copy of an original M code plate. The font, size, spacing, and the actual plate are not an exact match. Buses from October 1958 through bay window buses 1979 came from the VW factory with an M Code plate. The plate describes the date of manufacture, factory options, export destination, paint colors, layout, and model number. These reproduction M Code plates are made of green anodized aluminum and measure 1 3/4" X 3 1/2". The plates come with punched holes. The characters on the plate are embossed, just like the originals.M Code plates have 4 rows of data with 21 characters on each line.
