This product was manufactured by ALTEC in the 1945s for very first prototype and used 1.125 inch plywood in black color. After this prototype, standard 3/4 inch plywood 612 series were made. ALTEC 61X series cabinet is widely known for it's known as great "silver" looks. 612,614,618-type system is one of the most known ALTEC speaker system for theater use along with the famous "The Voice of The Speaker(VOTT)" and the "ICONIC" Series. However, This pair is a Early Model which is Black. It is harder to find. This cabinet is suitable to fit 15" unit. This is top of the line cabinet ever created by the early ALTEC corporation.
