These shoes have not been recrafted. However, they are recraftable (a process that can typically done two times on Allen Edmonds shoes). Recrafting restores the shoes by replacing the heels, outsoles, leather welts, and cork inlays… and refinishes and polishes the uppers. After an Allen Edmonds shoe is recrafted, it is nearly new again. Consequently, you can get more life out of these Allen Edmonds Randolph penny loafers than you can out of lower-quality, mass-produced shoes. I am not a professional eBay seller, but I am extremely meticulous about my shoes. These are one of many pairs of Allen Edmonds I have owned over the years. They have been very gently worn (over a period of a few months after their initial purchase), are in excellent condition, show minimal signs of wear, and have been taken care of well (rubbed down after each wear, stored carefully with shoe trees, etc.). In fact, I love these shoes (I have three pairs of Randolph loafers, each in a different color) and would prefer to keep them. However, about five years ago, I broke one of the toes on my right foot…and although the break has healed, these shoes have never felt comfortable since then (because of the way loafers hug my forefoot and, thus, squeeze my toes). As a result, I have finally decided to sell them. Brand new, Allen Edmonds Randolph penny loafers retail for $425, so a highly discounted price like this (for such gently used shoes) is an incredible deal. They come with the original box and cotton flannel bags (for storage, rubbing down the shoes after wear, etc.) shown in the pictures.
