Size Around: 6 5/8"5 1/2" around the inside + 1 1/8" gapHeight at Center front: 3/4"Weight: 2.2 ounces, 61 gramsAlex has been making jewelry as long as he can remember. Growing up, he was nurtured artistically by his talented family (Myron Panteah is a half-brother). Alex developed into an award-winning artist. What truly sets Alex's creations of the Southwest apart is the distinctive technique he developed which is neither sand cast nor tufa cast. From exquisite stamp work to his popular "Petroglyph" collection, the trademarks of his jewelry are a creative approach to tradition and exquisite workmanship. Alex Sanchez was born in 1969 and is of Navajo and Zuni heritage. Alex has won awards at The Red Earth Show in Oklahoma, The Gallup Ceremonial, and the Navajo Nation Fair. Throughout the 40 years that I have been in business, I have purchased jewelry from pawn shops throughout the Southwest that had collections of dead pawn. Most of these pawn shops and trading posts are now closed. The Native American would pawn his jewelry for immediate cash. The shop would hold it and charge interest until he could reclaim it. Dead pawn are the pieces that were never retrieved. Old Pawn Jewelry typically dates from the early 1900s to the 1970s. Most of the early pieces are not signed because it wasn't the Native American tradition to sign the pieces they crafted. Also, the turquoise in old pawn is turquoise that you can't get anymore because many of the mines have closed. And, the red and orange coral is rare because of the coral bleaching which is happening today. We guarantee all of our Native American Indian items to be AUTHENTIC American Indian traditional arts. **To see more vintage Native American jewelry** - Click on the Indian Jewelry category in my eBay store. - Then click on the category: such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, belts, rings by size etc. I am currently listing 100s of beautiful old pawn and vintage Native American jewelry on eBay.
