Hand painted by a young talented artist in Mexico. The artist, Humberto Lazaro Salvador is from Ahuehuepan, Guerrero, Mexico. Ahuehuepan is a small indigenous village in Mexico where Humberto learned his craft and love of painting from his grandfather, Luciano. Luciano carved this piece from a single piece of wood. This Guamuchil wood, hand carved, jaguar head is hand painted matte black in Nahuatl Alebrije style with matte bright neon colors and metallic gold color accents. Details:This jaguar is painted in the traditional Alebrije style of bright florals accenting each section.Eyes: Red, yellow and fire orange and outlined with metallic gold.3D ears: Beautiful metallic gold vines and turquoise and blue Alebrije florals.3D white teeth with fangs: All hand carved and accented with black.Nose: Black with matte blue florals and metallic blue dots. The bridge of his nose has fabulous black and blue swirled florals with metallic gold accents.We love the blue dot accents around his nose.His mouth is outlined with bright metallic gold lines and red defines his 3D black accented tongue.Aztec black and green florals on his chin prove his ancient prowess feel. The most unique part of this artist's design is his incorporation of images into each section. On the top is the beginning to a new painting. Humberto created a unique, artistic royal blue large floral design on the back of his head and ears. We love the turquoise Aztec feel on his cheeks that are accented with metallic turquoise. The bottom is hand signed by the artist, Humberto Lazaro. We complimented his unique talented style of painting and he said it is natural talents to him and his visions expressed.
