ALCO Models HO Brass #D-142 LB SD-40L Diesel Locomotive

Description: *None of the available SD-40L locomotives appear to have any run time other than perhaps test running only (if anything). All were tested on 10/15/24 and each one ran good in both forward & reverse. Some are a little more growly than others but all ran very well for ALCO’s of this age. Brass finish is C-8/C-9 on each (the only imperfections that I noticed was a little corrosion on the right side handrails on all (4). Not the end of the world and to be expected with a model of this age. Made by Kumata in 1971. All box’s are in excellent shape and only show minimal signs of wear from shelf storage. The original foam on each one has been replaced with upgraded REBOXX foam inserts to better protect these beauties for years to come. All Brass Locos typically need a little TLC and fine tuning, lubrication, adjustment and break-in to achieve optimal performance.
