ALCO Models HO Brass #D-110 C-420 Low Hood Tiger Valley #6190 & #6191

Description: *Includes (2) locomotives - Tiger Valley #6190 & #6191)* *These beautiful diesel locomotives do show moderate signs of wear from past use. As a result, we’re offering these locomotives as used. Beautifully custom painted, numbered & weathered to match Tiger Valley Engine #6190 & #6191. Only 700 of these were made by Kumata in 1968. These locomotives are NOT DCC ready, however they can be easily converted to DCC using a hardwired decoder. Tested both on 12/23/24 and found #6191 to run well in both directions but #6190 didn’t want to run (DNR) in either direction. I suspect either some seized gears or she’ll need to be re-motored which are both easy fixes with proper tools/parts/experience. It does have the characteristic ALCO growl from sitting a while but should improve with proper break in/lubrication. Original box’s are both missing and were replaced with custom REBOXX box/foam sets to help keep these beauties better protected for years to come. Original paperwork is missing and will NOT be included. All Brass Locos typically need a little TLC and fine tuning, lubrication, adjustment and break-in to achieve optimal performance.
