Below is a detailed description of the serigraph by Doug Mayr, a long-time friend of Alan Kulwicki. “Alan Kulwicki and I were great friends for over 20 years. I was also a collector of various Randy Owens original artwork. Primarily Indy, F-1 and Sports Cars. I realized that no quality artwork had been made of Alan or his car. We didn't want to do "Prints" like various other drivers which are really nothing more than "posters" that are mass produced on an automated printing press. Knowing Randy Owens high quality, unique style, and world-wide reputation as a Motorsports artist, I commissioned him to make these serigraphs of Alan. These Alan Kulwicki Serigraphs are very beautiful, rare and unique pieces of Motorsports Artwork. Each of the over 40 colors on every Serigraph Print was personally hand silk screened by exclusive Motorsports artist Randy Owens in his studio. This makes each one truly unique and individual. This is also the first Stock Car artwork ever produced by Randy, as he normally worked in F-1, Indy, Sports Cars, and Sail Boats. Only 177 of these were made in 1992. Alan hand signed them in my home when he was for "Alan Kulwicki Day" after he won the '92 Winston Cup championship. I gave Alan's father # 14, (Alan's birthday), and # 7 to Alan which he proudly showed off to all of his team members and friends. Only a few have recently been discovered in my collection and are now offered for sale. Each of the 18" X 28" artwork was hand signed & numbered by Randy Owens, and each was individually hand signed by 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup Champion Alan Kulwicki. This is the only artwork of Kulwicki that he ever autographed. A certificate of authenticity signed by the publisher is included with each one.
