A renowned Cuban artist, Gina Pellon was born in 1926 in Cumanayagua, Las Villas, Cuba. has lived and worked in Paris since 1959. She has worked continuously for over four decades as a painter, graphic artist, and poet until her death .Her work has been particularly well received in northern Europe due in part to her connection with the Danish COBRA movement, one of the most important vanguard artistic groups in that part of the world.Her career in Europe was very prolific with extensive exhibitions in Paris, Lausanne, Brussels, Amsterdam, Toulouse, Silkebour (Denmark) and in Larvik (Norway). She has also had one-person shows and group exhibitions in other cities such as, Miami, New York and Caracas, among others.Pellon has received numerous awards and honors, and her work has been exhibited and collected around the world. Born in Odessa on March 28, 1919, Alain Bosquet (real name Anatole Bisk) spent his youth in Brussels. He joined the American army in 1942. He settled permanently in Paris in 1951, working for Combat, Le Monde, Le Figaro and several publishers. Novelist (A man for another, Letter to my father who would have turned one hundred, Les Solitudes) and poet (I am not a freshwater poet), he received the Grand Prize for poetry from the French Academy in 1968. Naturalized in In 1980 he founded Nota Bene magazine and was a member of the Renaudot jury. He died in Paris on March 17, 1998. Né à Odessa le 28 mars 1919, Alain Bosquet (de son vrai nom Anatole Bisk) a passé sa jeunesse à Bruxelles. Il s'est engagé dans l'armée américaine en 1942. Installé définitivement à Paris en 1951, il a collaboré à Combat, au Monde, au Figaro et à plusieurs maisons d'édition. Romancier (Un homme pour un autre, Lettre à mon père qui aurait eu cent ans, Les Solitudes) et poète (Je ne suis pas un poète d'eau douce), il reçoit le Grand prix de poésie de l'Académie française en 1968. Naturalisé en 1980, il a fondé la revue Nota Bene et a été membre du jury Renaudot. Il est mort à Paris le 17 mars 1998.
