Description: Hey there, I'm selling an Akai S3000i in excellent condition with lots of desirable options installed. If you're a vintage sampler enthusiast, this is like having an MPC-3000 engine in a rack, but even so much more with these extras installed. The S3000i was simply a variant of the regular S3000 that came with SCSI standard from the factory. The S3000 itself was a follow up to the S1000/S1100 and is arguably the best rackmount sampler that Akai made in the 90s... These were used on countless Hip-Hop, Jungle, Drum & Bass, Techno, Dance and House records. Upgrades and options go as follow: -Rare IB-304F Filter Card that adds new filter types, a 3rd envelope, and a nice reverb effect in addition to the other internal FX -Digital I/O Option -SCSI Option -12 MWords of RAM (24 Megabytes, max is 32) Comes with a power cord, a few factory disks, a big stack of unformatted blanks I had laying around, and one commercial Akai S900 disk that it doesn't read, but I'll include it anyway. :) This unit has been lovingly cleaned and tested. Only functional issue I have found is the SELECT PROG button requires slightly more pressure than the others to engage but it does work. Power supply has been switched over to 120v from 240v by flipping over a jumper on the power supply. This is easy to undo if you ever need it to run on european power again. Backlight is new, but this is still the original screen from 30 years ago so it's not as crisp and bright as what we're used to in modern times. I've had the best experience using this in a room without a lot of bright sunlight. Super crisp LED screen upgrades are available online if you're up for it!
