Description: Agave X Blue Flame for sale here. Plant is in 4 inch pot with a single OVER GROWN body that is over 8 inch in diameter and near 5-6 inch in hight. Agave X Blue Flame is unique cross of Agave attenuata and Agave shawii, medium, only 3-4 ft in diameter and high, but quite interesting. usually single, but sometimes offsetting agave with powder-grey-blue elongated flexible blue-green leaves have finely serrate margins and a terminal spine. The blue cast to the leaves form from a glaucous waxy cuticle that covers the surface of the younger leaves. Plant in full to part sun except in hot inland and desert gardens where light shade will prevent scorching of the foliage. Irrigate little or regularly for more vigor. Hardy to at least 25 F. The name 'Blue Flame' is both in reference to the blue in the foliage and also to the shape of the plant, which resembles a gas flame with its gracefully incurved leaf tips. The flower stalk can reach up to 5 ft tall with short side branches bearing yellow flowers.Plant ships bare root. USA and her territories ONLY. Shipping.
