Description: This item was originally purchased in Kenya when I was serving there as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the early 1980s. Khangas were multipurpose and were worn by women as aprons/wraps/baby slings. The top and bottom edges are finished while the sides are not. This is how they were sold in the marketplaces. Each khanga has its own proverb/saying in Swahili. This one reads: Ni Mimi Wako which translates as I Am Yours. Measures approximately 60 inches by 40 inches and can be used any number of ways - as clothing, wrap, decoration.
