Description: African Baule Low Chair. This is a hand-carved seat with a wonderfully aged patina. The round carved legs are securely integrated to the seat rails with mortise and tenon joinery. The arced back rail connects to two round stiles with the same detailed joinery style. The seat is remarkably comfortable and exceptionally sturdy with no weakness in the legs or back rail. It is an extremely solid and lovely piece to add to any African Art collection. Dimensions are: 23" tall x 16" wide x 17" deep. Seat height is 10 1/2". The weight is approximately 9 lbs.
