The script was written by Leonid Solovyov with the participation of V. Vitkovich in 1944 and it contained the main outline of the future "The Enchanted Prince" - a novel written by Solovyov later. The film was shot in Uzbek language and dubbed into Russian by the Soyuzdetfilm studio. Dubbing director - I. Shchipanov, sound engineer - V. Dmitriev, director - L. Volynskaya. Playing dice in a teahouse with Bezborody, Nasreddin "with the help" of his donkey's tail beats the opponent cleanly. After that, he puts himself on the line, they say, he will work for Hodge for free, if he wins, he will take back all the winnings back. Khoja agrees to this, but on the condition that Beardless will work not for him, but for his donkey.
