Description: For sale is a super cool ancient coin you don't see many of: an A.D. 81 to 161 Roman Owl Coin. This coin was circulated in the Roman Empire from that era. This coin is very different than just about all other Roman ancient coins in that this coin does not have a Roman Emperor on it. Just about all over Roman coins will have the bust of the Emperor who ruled during that era. Rather, the obverse of this coin has the helmeted bust of the goddess Minerva and the reverse has a very cool owl in the center. Ancient coins with Owls on them are always some of the most desired by collectors. The coin is made of almost pure copper. As you can see from the pics the coin is in excellent condition as far as ancient coins go with amazing detail, especially the owl on the reverse. There is a bit of pitting to the obverse, which is very common with copper coins this old, but it has no major damage at all. This is an amazing ancient coin that can be had at a great price! Thanks!
