Description: This is a solid mid-grade copy of Action Comics 440. The book is a semi-key in that it features Mike Grell's first work on Green Arrow. I think is also cool because the Green Arrow story features Krypto, who appears as a stray dog that gets adopted by Oliver and Dinah. I can't remember the last time Krypto appeared in a DC title before this issue. Curt Swan handles the pencils on the lead Superman story. The book is in VG/F 5.0 grade. The cover is tightly attached and has a nice amount of gloss. The centerfold is very tightly attached too and the staples are clean and snug. The pages are supple and off white. Flaws: there are a number of tiny stress lines along the spine and the upper and lower left corner have white tips. There is a very teeny tear and crease on the upper edge at the mid-point. The lower left corner is also bent about an inch from the tip; there's a fine crease there too that does not break color. There is a bit of soiling on the border of the Back cover. The book will be delivered in a boarded mylar sleeve between 2 pieces of cardboard by US Mail with a tracking number. I do combine shipping.
