It isn't all perilous dangers, however, as the couple take time to play golf among the wildlife. Friend and supporter George Eastman, founder of Eastman-Kodak, accompanies them on their journey. Scenes in the field were shot without sound, to which the explorers' narration was later added. Wraparound sequences filmed at a cocktail party at Martin and Osa's New York apartment, however, are the first footage of the Johnsons with synchronized sound.
