Each Refoam Kit includes all the materials needed to repair two (2) woofers: Refoaming Instructions Two 8" Foam Surrounds (F8-2) Shims For Centering the 1.5" Voice Coils 1 Bottle of Specially Formulated Foam Surround Adhesive *It can be difficult to refoam a speaker without removing the dust cap and inserting the plastic shims. The plastic shims are used to center the voice coil and cone assembly while the speaker is being refoamed. If you do not use the plastic shims, the voice coil may be off center and it may lead to the voice coil rubbing. *You have 3 repair options: 1. Center by hand, without removing the dust cap or shimming the voice coil. 2. Remove the original dust cap, shim the voice coil and then reglue the original dust cap back down. 3. Purchase new poly, paper, felt or screen (breathable fabric) dust caps for an additional $5.00 per kit. Just send us a message with the type and diameter of the dust cap you have.
