Description: This sweet Acoma wedding vase is smaller, about 2" across the spouts, 1.5" in diameter and 2.5" high. It is of white clay painted with light rusty red and black - Neatly and accurately hand formed, hand fired and hand painted. Signed on the bottom "L Joe Acoma" Loretta Joe is an Acoma potter that has been selling her work since 1977 - this is an earlier piece by her. Her later and current work is more intricate and usually larger than her earlier pieces. She sometimes works with her husband Lawrence Joe - and when they have both worked on a piece, both sign it. Loretta's pottery can be found in some of the finest and most well known galleries in the Southwest.
