This gives your tape a fresh feel to it, while still maintaining the vintage analog charm you're looking for. Each tape is spot tested, and fully rewound to ensure it functions. Tapes are an analog medium, they degrade over time. While it is possible some of the tapes we sell might sound great, due to the vintage nature of the format we cannot promise a perfect sounding tape. You should expect the possibility that this tape may not sound the same as a digital recording and may have some of the unique playback characteristics of vintage tape that some might consider to be flaws. With that said, each tape sounding unique is part of the fun, isn't it? The inner paper insert and exterior shell of the cassette tape may show signs of vintage wear, including but not limited to marks, stains, fading, or discolouration. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How will my cassette sound? Will there be surface noise or any issues with the sound quality? Cassettes are an analog medium. While there is nothing like listening to music on an analog device, cassettes degrade over time. We spot test each cassette to ensure they have a reasonable chance of functioning on most equipment. You should not expect perfect or like new sound quality. You should expect the possibility of surface noise, distortion, or other quirks associated with this vintage format. Isn't that part of the fun? Unlike with CDs or digital, each cassette is a unique representation of your favourite albums! No other fan in the world will have a cassette that sounds exactly like the one you own, the sound is uniquely yours. Your cassette should still play all the way through, but the sound quality may vary. Do you test the cassettes you sell?We spot test each cassette and fully rewind/fast forward the tape to ensure the cassette is fully functional. While we sell our tapes in good faith, it is possible that a non-functional tape could slip through the cracks. We would love to listen to all 60 minutes of each tape we sell, but it is simply not feasible, that is why we spot test them. In the event you receive a tape that does not function on your equipment, we kindly ask that you message us so that we can make it right. Are the paper inserts in perfect condition?While the exterior case will have a nice 'like new' feel, the paper inserts are pre-owned and might not be in perfect or like new condition. They may show signs of wear like staining and discoloration. Please view the photos to get a reasonable idea of what the insert looks like. We do not promise a perfect, mint, or like new insert. The same goes for the graphics on the exterior shell of the cassette tape. There may be scratching or other wear to the exterior shell of the tape, and the graphics may show signs of fading. Is the outer case dirty and all scratched up?No! We replace the outer case with a brand new cassette case when we add it to your inventory. Please keep in mind that the case may still have some visible scuffs or scratches since this is inevitable with a jewel case, but it will be much cleaner than your typical pre-owned cassette case.Are these original genuine tapes?We only sell genuine authentic items. We are an independent movie and music store that specializes in the sale of genuine pre-owned movies and music. Will I receive the exact tape in the photo?The photo is our own photo that we took of a tape we have in our inventory. If we have or had more than one of this title in stock, you may receive a different cassette of the same title. There might be slight differences in things like the catalogue number, case style, or layout of the cover art. Ostensibly, you will always receive the same title in similar condition to the one photographed. If you're looking for a specific catalogue number, please check with us first before buying so that we can verify for you that the one we have in stock matches that catalogue number.What do I do if my cassette does not function?Please ensure the cassette you purchased is compatible with your player. Some players cannot play different types of cassettes. Try your cassette in a different player if you have one available to you.Try a different tape in your player to ensure the issue is with the cassette, and not with your player. If a different tape doesn't work in your player, the issue is almost certainly hardware related. We proudly participate in eBay's Buyer Protection Program. We spot test our tapes in good faith, but unlike with discs that show wear with scratches, there isn't a reasonable visual indication that illustrates how a tape might function.
