Description: #8913SS.... Improved screw! Does your 500C, or 2500C showing a gap between the innerplate, and brakeplate like in the second picture?Or simply looking for some #8913 screws? * ABU no longer produces their own #8913 and the part is not available for sometime. I have handled hundreds of hundreds of 1500C, and 2500C model reels in the past.I noticed there is an slight opening in between the innerplate of the frame, and the brakeplate in some cases.Initially I thought the opening was caused as the innerplate was not completely flat.Oh, I was wrong. I found out one of the reasons why the gap cannot be closed was because of the relationship between the former #8913 ABU's original screw, and the hole on the brakeplate. The head of the screw was slightly sticking out. That was the cause of "hung up" like in the 3rd picture using ABU's screw. The head has to be lower than the plate of the brakeplate like in the last picture. (Take a close look at the middle hole.) Second problem on the ABU's screw was the height itself. It was developed unnecessarily short.That makes tough to find the female screw from the sideplate. I fixed that problem at the same time. My improved #8913SS is longer and had a pointy tip. See the different between the two screws in the first picture. Price is for 10 screws.Made in USA and from stainless steel.
