Vandal previously wrote and performed music with a pop-punk sound with her band Summer Day Rescue and a pop flair sound with That I AM. The band members all contribute to restoring the original intensity of punk sound, and have produced a crossover, fusing fast tempos and power chord changes with pop influenced melodies, vocal styles and lyrical themes. The Heat is Getting Hotter, their debut EP, has a message for it's listeners: watch for signs that you may need to switch things up, break out of a bad environment, but always remain true to who you are.
