This listing is for one antenna that was purchased new from a well-known Quality manufacturer and then custom modified by us to increase the performance only in the 806 to 870 MHz frequency range as indicated by a single red color stripe on the bottom of the SMA connector. Our special high performance antenna element reduces the overall antenna height down to only 2.75 inches with a tuning tolerance of ± 1/8 of an inch tall. Each antenna is then retuned by hand with lab grade equipment to create a perfect low VSWR in the 806 to 870 MHz frequency range specifically needed for public safety, commercial, and industrial uses. Our tuned 98N antenna will exhibit up to a +3dB positive gain as compared to many other larger untuned 800 MHz antennas that constantly poke the radio users in the armpit. This antenna is NOT made to support GPS signals but may occasionally receive some GPS signals when outdoors only in clear unobstructed areas.
