Description: If you need a nice, but not "perfect" early GSPD tank, here's a RARE opportunity. This is THE original design for the 47E1 model GSPDs (88-96). The design is barrowed from Gaston Rahier's 1986 1st place Paris Dakar race bike. From '92 on BMW was not allowed to put "Paris Dakar," so the bikes became "PD"s. This tank looks pretty darn good. It'd be a great replacement of an older early tank that has faded badly, or for a '93 and newer one with the ugly (my opinion) pebble graphics. It has a key for the glove box lock. Be sure to check out my other items. I restore R100GS's (Primarily the early 90's PDs) and have contacts around the world that I get rare and well preserved parts from, usually specific to this model, but sometimes other Airheads, and of course many Airhead parts are interchangeable between many bikes. When I have more parts than I have an immediate need for, I make them available to other enthusiasts. I'm always interested in networking with BMW owners with similar interests.
