It was uncomfortable from the start, but I thought it might break in. The futon portion sat much higher than the seat so it was barely functional, eventually the padding on the bench made it so you could feel the frame and springs, the fabric faded incredibly fast and it actually started to cause back pain sitting on it. I ended up buying a new couch at the year mark and this wasn't even in good enough shape to put out for free. I'm 130lbs, single, no kids, no pets so it didn't take much to have this completely fall apart. However it was very easy to assemble and large enough to sleep comfortably. 3 Sep 21First the positives In the short time we’ve had it, it appears to be well constructed and sturdy. The opening mechanism is smooth and easy to use. The cushions are comfortable. The color was as expected. For its intended purpose - the occasional guest bed - it appears to be perfect. Now the negatives The sleeper is shipped with several packets of desiccant (drying agent) in the box and inside the storage compartments. During shipping one or more of these packets burst open releasing hundreds of small pellets inside the box and in the sleeper itself. They were everywhere. EVERYWHERE! The only saving grace, I opened the box in the garage and not in the house. But as I brought the sleeper in the house more and more pellets were released. Then each time we opened the sleeper more pellets would appear, needing to be vacuumed up. The cleanup process added an hour to the assembly. What a disaster. Second negative There are two center support legs that need to be screwed into two hinges. I was able to get the four screws into one of the hinges, but could only get three of the screws into the second hinge because the holes didn’t line up properly. 2 Sep 21Purchased this couch for the color which I love, It's bright and vibrant.
