THIS ITEM: Vintage Indonesian Shadow Puppet Lot I am lucky enough to be able to offer this collection, obtained many years ago from an estate sale. These stunning pieces are of some age and various conditions, so please see the photos. This whole collection is already packed and ready to ship in a large secure box. Some of the photos appear not in order. You get the whole set seen laying flat in the group photo. One shows the front and the other shows the back. 8 piece collection. I have learned some interesting things about these shadow puppets. They are made from buffalo hide. In Indonesia, the term "wayang kulit" refers not only to the performance of a shadow play, but has also become synonymous with the Buffalo hide puppets used to create the shadows. If you google Wayang Kulit Characters you can see all the amazing characters that make up this special form of puppetry. Most of my items are vintage and used unless otherwise noted.
