Description: A set of eight 18.3cm x 26.3cm Photos of Bombardment during WWII Japanese Naval Attack of Pearl Harbor of 8th December 1941, with paper case. It seems that the negative films were offered by Navy to Tokyo Nichinichi Newspaper Co. Ltd. and Osaka Mainichi Newspaper Co. Ltd. and they published this set. All were printed with endorsement of “Tokyo Nichinichi Newspaper and Osaka Mainichi Newspaper” in Japanese language. Per each item, printed more as below. 1. Wheeler Army Airfield during our attack. A beautiful row of gas tanks can be seen to the right, and the runway is clearly visible. Flames of fire cover the harbor.2. Saying goodbye to the plane that was about to depart on “〇〇” in the roaring Pacific dawn3. Wheeler Airfield in Hawaii is covered in a tremendous amount of black smoke caused by the fierce bombing of our Navy planes. The hangars are already disappearing in the black smoke, and the prized planes lined up are starting to burn.4. The moment of US destruction in the Pacific. All the ships in the foreground are capital ships. Aerial torpedoes shine white on the waves. Some ships are already tilting after being hit by torpedoes. White smoke is rising from Hickam Airfield. 5. Our invincible bombers fly over Pearl Harbor with ease. The ships in the harbor are enveloped in black smoke. Below you can see Hickam Airfield.6. A full view of Pearl Harbor in its death throes. A torpedo hits an Oklahoma-class battleship, sending a plume of water shooting up.7. The death throes of US battleships were photographed from above. The top photo shows an Oklahoma-class battleship that had already sunk. The second is an Oklahoma-class battleship that had been hit by a bomb. The third is a California-class battleship that had lost half of its starboard side. The bottom right is a Maryland-class battleship that had been hit by a torpedo and had lost its shape.8. A distant view of the enemy's capital ships. A torpedo hit an Oklahoma-class battleship, sending up a plume of water. The four ships in the foreground are cruisers and auxiliary ships. Our explosions have covered all the ships. Two of our naval planes can be seen flying. On the paper case, it was printed “Destruction of US Pacific Fleet. Historical record photos.
