Description: Welcome to the Textile Trunk ~ please follow us on Instagram! We are @textiletrunk This panel is a stunning vintage crewelwork textile, wool embroidery on cotton ground. I was very fortunate to be offered a large collection of these fabulous textiles. This is one from the collection. I can't get over the time it must have taken to make these amazing pieces. The collection dates from late 1800's to mid 1970's , difficult to say exactly on these textiles. They make fabulous bedcovers, upholstery fabric, tablecloths, wall hangings, shower curtains ( with plastic between the shower and textile) living room throws, you name it!~ they can be cut to make two curtains etc ~ They are absolutely remarkable pieces, each unique and wonderful in its own way! Please message with any questions ~*~ Please see below for condition and measurements ~ ITEM SPECIFICS : This lovely curtain is backed and there are tabs for hanging, however, the tags , to MY eyes, look like it would have hung upside down ? I'm not sure! The pattern is multidirectional ~ The colors are SUBERB saturated tones of orange, moss greens browns, blacks, blues , reds and browns ~ A wonderful panel. It's backed in natural cotton ( please see condition details below) MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately : 71 inches by 68 CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This textile should be dry cleaned only as the threads are wool . There is a small amount of thread loss ~ ( please use the zoom feature on the photographs) There are water marks on the backing of this piece ~ Only very light signs of time and use , often inherent in these wonderful handmade, antique textiles! ~*~ Crewelwork 0014
