60s BLENDO SET CHARCOAL MIST Pitcher & 6 Tumblers Gold Trim MCM Blk & Wt EUC

Description: Blendo Glassware, with its signature sprayed -on ombré finishes , bright gold trim and sinuous cat tail handles, is among the most iconic glassware of the mid-century period. Immediately recognizible by its gradient, airbrush- textured surfaces, Blendo was produced between 1956- -1986 by the West Virginia Specialty Glass Company of Weston, WV. The name " Blendo" refers to the ombré coloration that resulted from the blending of two different paint colors. This stunning set features the desirable " Charcoal Mist" pattern, which was introduced in the early 1960s. Charcoal Mist transitions from black to white to clear, with gold banding on the glasses' rims and the verge of the pitcher. This set , which I believe is #14 in the catalog, includes a massive ( 90-ounce) pitcher and six period-appropriate drinking glasses. The pitcher is about 11 1/2" tall and the glasses are 5 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide. The set is complete and in remarkable vintage condition with no chips , cracks, crazing, staining or repairs. The gold trim is surprisingly intact . There is minimal finish loss around the bottoms of the pieces, probably from being stored nested inside each other, which I have attempted to show in the photos.
