Description: There's a You Tube video of Mike Verduin tying the Cap Spider at a fishing show. He tells a cute story on how it got it's name and gives his recommendations on how it should be tied. He states that he won 3 World Championships with this fly. That's a pretty good recommendation. I tied these to his specification. i used a 1/124th Oz. Jig head #10 hook. I used black chenille ( his #2 color specification ) and 1 strand of black and white Sili Legs ( the only legs he says he ever uses) cut into quarters. He didn't specify thread but I used UNI-THREAD Black 8/0 70 denier, It maskes a very neat fly, Mike says you fish this bait slow and swim it. That seems to work well. It's a great bait. I use three baits almost exclusively for bluegills. The Gill Getter, The Bully Bluegill Spider and theCap Spider. You get 6 Cap Spiders in 6 colors, Black, Olive, Chartreuse (MIke's favorite colors), Brown, Orange and Green. They are on a 1/124th Oz. jig head #10 hook, Black chenille, and white and black Sili Legs. If you want specific body colors, leg colors, or head color, send me a message with what you want and the quantity. I'll tie them, list them, and message you when they're ready.
