Description: At our family-run farm, we've bred chickens for over 25 years. We sell eggs from two of the smallest chicken breeds available - American Serama and Puerto Rican Kikiriki. Our breeders are all approximately 6 inches tall, with roosters and hens fitting comfortably in the palm of your hand. Despite their diminutive stature, they possess a muscular build, high chest, and large wings relative to their body size. Our Kikiriki foundation stock is imported directly from Puerto Rico and includes bearded, crested/toppy, naked neck, and tailless varieties; and exemplify the best traits of this remarkable breed. We keep our flock relatively small, and we know each bird's personality and name. We only breed our healthiest and friendliest birds, with an emphasis on health, size, and personality. Kikiriki are notoriously difficult to hatch, but we have a 90% hatching rate locally and test fertility regularly. Primarily kept for ornamental purposes, Puerto Rican Kikiriki chickens are admired for their vibrant plumage and elegant posture. They come in a variety of colors, adding a splash of beauty to any backyard or poultry collection. While they are not prolific egg layers, the hens do lay small eggs and can go broody. Due to their small size, Kikiriki chickens are best suited for moderate climates and require protection from extreme cold. Overall, their charming personality and striking appearance make them a popular choice among poultry enthusiasts. Our small farm is more than just a businessit's a family affair. Our two boys share our passion for these delightful birds, and especially love their super-friendly pet roosters. Both hens and roosters of this breed really enjoy being held and petted. In addition, tiny birds means quieter crowing too! No matter which gender you have, they're sure to please. We hope that our Kikiriki chickens bring joy to your home as well.
