Germination rates were 90%+ on the first winter test. These genetics are the popular Caribbean Lucifer's Dream Habanero Variety. Growing Information:90-100 days to harvest. Heating mat strongly recommended for successful germination. At least 3-5 gallons are recommend if container planting. Red Habanero Pepper Uses:Unlike their more popular orange counterparts, these fruits eventually ripen to bright red and heat levels are up to 3 times hotter than orange habaneros at around 250,000+ Scoville Units. This is my personal preference of Habanero variety because not only do they contain the classic fruity habanero flavor but the peppers have slightly thicker skins than the typical orange habanero which make them hold up far better when pan frying or sauce blending.
