These abalone shells have been lightly cleaned and disinfected. They have rough edges. They are not as nicely prepared as our cleaned and edged African abalone shells, but are ideal for use in economy smudge pot kits or in other crafts. They are a by-product of the food industry. The shells come from sustainably raised cultivated abalone at on-shore farms in South Africa. Genus and species: Abalone Shells, Haliotis midae. Ranch. South Africa. Product of South Africa.
