It has since been introduced to eastern North America. General Description: A widely popular ornamental, flowering, evergreen groundcover. Hardiness Zone: 3 to 9 Maintenance: Low Mature Height: 6 to 12 inches Mature Width: 12 to 18 inches We recommend planting them 4 to 6 inches apart for adequate coverage within 2 to 3 years. Plant Details: Growth Habit: Spreads slower than its green counterpart by new stems sprouting from the spreading root system. It can take 5 to 10 years to become a fully established, solid groundcover. Leaf Structure: Alternate, simple, and oval-shaped measuring 2 to 4 inches long. They are grey-green to dark green with creamy-white edges. They appear to be whorled in clusters at the stem ends. Stem Structure: Smooth, round, and green. Bark Structure: N/A Soil Preference: Clay, Loam, Peat, Sand Watering Preference: Light Sunlight Preference: Full Shade Bloom Time: Late March to April Bloom Color: Small, upright spikes of white star-shaped flowers measuring 1 to 2 inches tall.
